Michelle's Dutch courses are fantastic! I started with her A0-A1 course and enjoyed it so much that I continued with the next levels. Her approach made even the challenging parts of learning Dutch feel enjoyable. First of all, she was always prepared; she studied beforehand the lesson, you've never got her improvising during it. Second, she had plentiful ideas for the content; some of then dynamical, the others more contemplative. For instance, since I love reading history, I get acquaintance by her with the program Welkom bij de Romeinen which combine both history and amusement. Likewise, in the process of speaking, I never felt judged or ashamed of my pronunciation; she encouraged me to speak and have conversations, although she also corrected me when it was necessary. I would recommend her for sure as teacher.

Ik heb Nederlands geleerd bij Michelle, van A0 tot B2-niveau. We begonnen de lessen offline, maar tijdens de corona periode schakelden we snel over naar online lessen, wat prima werkte.

Michelle heeft een ondersteunende en motiverende manier van lesgeven. We werken aan alle aspecten van de taal; grammatica, lezen, luisteren, spreken en schrijven. It is pure joy to learn language with Michelle, she has great personality. The lessons are always interactive and engaging. While teaching the language Michelle also provides cultural context, she uses traditional Dutch games, songs, or tv-programs. For me it makes learning the language so much easier and also helps establish connection with Dutch friends. While the book, of course, dictates topics, Michelle approaches them in a way that is interesting and relevant for me. As a result, this gives me vocabulary to talk about my personal experiences when having conversations in Dutch. Atmosphere during class is very relaxed and fun, whis is very important for me as there is no feeling of stress attached to the language.
